    Description

Selling my beautiful Buffet professional wooden Bb and A clarinet set. This listing will be long because I want to be thorough as this is a very nice professional set. Both horns were recently fully disassembled, cleaned and oiled, adjusted, and wood conditioned. The A clarinet underwent a full repad using top quality bladder pads by my technician. The Bb clarinet has good condition pads with cork on the upper joint and 2 cork pads on the lower joint and the remainder of the lower joing is bladder pads. They both play very nicely with that wonderful Buffet tone! Also included is a brand new mouthpiece, ligature, mouthpiece cap, and new Protec double case. Both instruments are serial number matching! Also including free shipping within the USA Below are two separate paragraphs about the specifics of both instruments.
The A clarinet is a very rare 1901 Buffet Crampon, fully repadded and ready to play! The A key (low pitch) turn of the century Buffets are very rare, but this instrument is exceptionally rare because it is of the standard Boehm system, but also has a wrap around register key. This vintage horn has a much sweeter sound than modern A clarinets. The serial number, O 571, dates this instrument to 1901. As a side note, the professional musician I bought this horn from several years ago said that this particular instrument saw use with the principal clarinetist with the Boston symphony many years ago.
The Bb clarinet as stated above was also serviced and plays great, with a professional cork and bladder pad setup. This horn also had 1 tenon cork replaced in addition to the other recent maintainence.
Selling this set due to COVID and haven't used them much since the start of the pandemic. I really want these horns to go a great home, feel free to ask any questions, thanks!
