    Description

A DOUBLER'S DREAM!  The "Golden Era" of Buffet production was between 1965 to 1979, serial numbers 83k-200k.  During this production period only the finest Grenadilla wood that had been air dried for 20 years or more was used in Buffet's R-13s.  The result?  A very hard, dense and naturally dark Clarinet resistant to cracking.  The tonal qualities?  Splendid.
This is an R13 from the Golden Era of Buffet creation; an "A", serial number 91765, circa 1966.
Formerly owned by a professional who took superb care of his horns.  It was recently inspected by RDG Woodwinds; there are NO cracks or repairs, no problems with posts, no key swedging necessary and all tenons fit snug.  In fact, they fit a bit TOO snug but I'll let you deal with this; I don't want to take them down too low.  All pads play well and I can play the entire register of the horn with ease.  I will be taking it for another tune up today.
The tone is lovely, warm and full.  I can post audio samples from my studio if requested.
Comes with a deluxe doubler's case and leather zipper cover (cover needs a little stitching on the right side but it's an easy fix).  A great example of a Golden Era "A" Buffet - get it before it's gone!
NOTE:  I can combine this A with any Bb I am selling - contact me for details.

"Recently I purchased a great instrument from a seller who also deserves that description and it is a pleasure to recommend him to others who are looking to upgrade their equipment, instrument or to capture all that is possible in recording. Dave is a true professional who has spent his life in music attaining the highest achievement and knowledge technically and in artistry as a performer and is he extremely open and genuinely enthusiastic in sharing ideas.
He sent me recordings he had made of my flute before I bought it from him, he made sure it was superbly set up, and we engaged in a number of long, worthwhile conversations before the transaction was finalized.  In these times, it is especially unexpected and valuable to encounter an individual who conducts business on such a high plane of integrity and depth and it is my belief that anyone who contacts him for a product or service that he offers will greatly benefit."
